PINsafe Software

PINsafe is a Java application distributed as web archive

Hardware Requirements: Min 1GB RAM, 1GHz Processor

OS: Any OS that fully supports the Sun Java Runtime Environment including Windows Server 200X, XP, Vista. Linux (Redhat, Centos etc etc)

Software Requirements: Java (1.5 or later), Apache-Tomcat 5.5.x/6.0.X

RADIUS

Conforms to RADIUS RFCs including 2865, 2866 and many others

Supports PAP, CHAP, MSCHAP, EAP-MD5 and LEAP protocols.

Supports Cisco group membership and Juniper change pin support.

Repositories

PINsafe uses standard LDAP to read information from directory services and is compatible with Active Directory, Open LDAP, eDirectory, SUN Directory Server, Tivoli Directory Sever.

PINsafe can also read user information from industry standard SQL databases, providing the required drivers are available.

PINsafe also has an internal XML repository where accounts can be manually created/edited and deleted.

Database

PINsafe uses SQL/JDBC to interface with its database to store the PINsafe specific information it requires.

PINsafe has a pre-installed internal database that it can use or it can be connected to an instance of one of the following databases

MySQL5, Generic JDBC. MSSQL, Oracle10, PostGres7

Transports

PINsafe uses transports to send system messages and security strings to users. As well as being able to send these messages via email (via SMTP) is compatible with a large number of SMS providers including

AQL, iTagg, PSWIN, Clickatell, KPN, SMTP-to-SMS gateways SMPP Gateways and many others

Support for other providers can be easily added.
